Who We Are

We are a small dedicated team, here to champion you on. The publishing world is daunting. The biggest thing we hear from Indie Authors is how long it took them to gain the proper footing then it came to publishing. Now there is no way around it, Indie Publishing is a long game, but starting off right can change your whole trajectory. We aren’t just an editorial business, we are here to partner beside authors to help grow their author brand.

Our editing style is first and foremost collaborative. This means we aren’t faceless comments on a document we take time to talk with you and understand your vision. This looks like virtual meetings, both before and after the editing process. Constant support and communication as you go through our edits and incorporate them. This looks like messaging us 3 weeks after your project has concluded asking about an edit we made on page 275. Or it might look like scheduling another meeting to brainstorm ideas for some bigger picture edits we made. We will always be a resource for our authors!

And last, but most importantly what makes our services stand out from the sea of qualified and talented editors, designers, and marketers is our philosophy! We tailor our edits to you, not the other way around. We’ve talked with too many authors who have worked with amazing editors but have said that they didn’t feel like they had a voice.

Client Story

One example was an author who we worked with a few years ago had worked with another editor prior to us. During the edits the author realized that the editor’s style didn’t work for them. Now it isn’t that editors are trying to ignore the author, but they had a way of doing things. This particular author said she didn’t feel comfortable voicing her opinion because she couldn’t put her finger on exactly what she wanted or what she didn't like about this particular style.

Our Philosophy

During our edits, and with any other service you book we talk with you to find the style and method that works best for you. For example if you are looking for a developmental edit, during that first call we will talk about your story and what you hope to get out of the editing process. For example, our editing may look different if you are writing to publish vs. writing something for yourself. We will talk you through the different styles available. If there are specific questions or concerns you want addressed. Do you prefer edits to be direct or softer? Now this doesn’t change the quality of edits you receive, we just understand that the editing process is hard and we want to deliver your manuscript back to you with edits that are easy to comprehend and work with your style of writing and revision. Regardless of the style you prefer, typically all our edits are a hybrid of comments made within a manuscript and a separate editorial letter. We look forward to working with you and championing your novel!
